Recliner Chairs by Movement

Rise and Recline chairs offer a dynamic range of movements for relaxation and help ease the effects of specific health conditions to suit your comfort requirements and the space available.

Single Motor Wall Hugger

Ideal for smaller spaces, it moves through the same motions as the Single Motor Tilt in Space but can operate in less space as it does so by cleverly reclining over its axis. This makes it ideal for smaller living areas and bedrooms. It only requires a 5-inch clearance from the wall making it a very versatile chair.

The wall hugger still offers a full recline, because the whole mechanism moves over its axis. The movement slowly allows you to shift your centre of gravity and weight from the hips to the knees when rising to stand or lowering to a seated position.

Dual Motor Standard

The dual motor standard Rise and Recline chair offers you greater flexibility in your positioning. The movement can adjust the back rest and the leg rest independently. This makes it suitable for users who cannot tolerate friction on the elbows and wrists, because the arms of the chair remain fixed with the seat position.

The standard dual motor movement means you can lay close to flat on your chair. This functionality is suitable for users who have skeletal issues, and need regular alterations in position. This is most suitable for users who can reposition themselves.

Single Motor Tilt-in-Space

A single-motor tilt-in-space rise and recline chair mechanism is ideal for users who cannot reposition themselves. The single motor tilt-in-space keeps the hip angle the same and pivots the chair back to spread your body weight. It can also elevate your ankles higher than your hips whilst maintaining the hip and knee angles. This is ideal for people who have bad circulation or swollen feet. The single motor tilt-in-space allows you to tilt backwards and change your centre of gravity, helping reduce the chance of pressure injuries.

Dual Motor Tilt-in-Space

The dual motor tilt-in-space movement is designed to maximise support throughout motion. This is because the two motors in the chair give you more flexibility over your positioning. This makes it especially suitable for skeletal issues and if you need regular alterations in position. Offering a high leg elevation to provide exceptional postural seating options to suit all individuals. This means you can lay close to flat on your chair.

As a result it offers the best combination of movement, because the different motors provide the functionality to suit your comfort and pressure care requirements.

The top of the backrest is subjected to heavier wear than other areas of the chair. Protect your investment with a head cover that can be easily replaced when it wears out.

Removable Head Cover

This option enables side transfers out of the chair with minimum difficulty. Available on the left hand, right hand or both arms for total flexibility. It is recommended to be used in conjunction with the Trio lift option.

Transfer Arms – Removable

The chair arms are one of the places that take the most wear. A pair of arm caps will help keep this area protected and keep your chair looking even better for longer.

Castors are fitted as standard on all chairs up to 25 stone, making it easier to move and making the surrounding area easier to clean. If you prefer, your castors can be replaced with either feet or glides to better suit your floor surfaces and individual needs.

Tailored Head Pillows

This chrome built-in lamp can be set at three brightness levels. You can rediscover the joys of reading with an LED light that can be adjusted to any angle you require. Operated by your chair handset.

All riser recliners have 30° lift and tilt mechanisms that lift the chair front by around 5”. Trio-Lift , VAL or Variable Angle Lift Technology gives you even more flexibility and ensures our chairs support you with changing independent living needs.
