Some time ago Easy Mobility Services agreed to take in a mobility scooter that had been donated to the Clacton Lions Charity for us to refurbish to get the vehicle in a saleable condition and sell on and to then give the Lions Club Charity the profits achieved.
Earlier this year we have again taken care of a mobility scooter that was donated to the charity and we managed to achieve quite a lot of money for them.
Founded in 1979 and covering the whole of the Tendering District the Clacton Lions Club has gone from strength to strength. As part of the Lions Clubs International, they are the largest and most successful Non-Government Organisation involved in service and charity. The Club is a service organisation which fundraises for charitable purposes and cooperates with other charities and not-for-profit organisations to help them achieve their aims.
It was a very much unexpected but, appreciated gesture that President Jim Godden & Leo the Lion came in to present Roger Dixon the manager of Clacton’s Easy Mobility Shop with a certificate of appreciation for our help with raising funds for them, something Easy Mobility Services were more than happy to help do as the Clacton Lions are a very worthy cause.
